All processing happens on the device. Nothing is sent anywhere to work, and nothing stops working when the signal does.

That assumption is reasonable almost everywhere. It is also the exact assumption that fails when it matters most — and no other platform we are aware of addresses what happens after it does.

No-Help Protocol

A distinct capability within GEGS™ for the situation nothing else addresses: rescue is not available, and it is not coming. It does not pretend otherwise. It keeps the casualty alive and documented for as long as that is possible, and it tells the truth about what it cannot do.

On the hardware already in the field

GEGS™ is modular by design and does not require dedicated equipment to be useful. It can be deployed on devices an organization already issues, or on purpose-built hardware where the mission calls for it.

Issued or commercial devices, with no dependency on carrier coverage once installed.

Wearables

Purpose-profiled form factors for field and remote use, where a phone is not practical.

Dedicated edge hardware

Standalone units for environments where a general-purpose device is not appropriate.

Where this came from

The same question, in a harder place

In 2022 a three-person team from Houston Community College won Intel’s Global Award — from more than a thousand entries across twenty-five nations — for a system that maps the inside of industrial buildings where GPS cannot reach. Dina-Marie Stager was the first woman to take that award in the eighteen-and-over category, and the first woman from the United States.

The problem then was a drone that could not be told where it was. The problem now is a person who cannot be told what to do. In both cases the infrastructure everyone assumes will be there — signal, power, the trained specialist — is not there.

GEGS™ is the same discipline, applied where the consequence is a life.
