Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written to describe what our systems actually do, not to cover every possibility.
The short version
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
- Our public website uses no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no advertising cookies.
- We collect what you choose to send us: a contact message, a scholarship application, or a sign-in to one of our apps.
- You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by writing to info@skylogictech.ai.
Who we are
This policy is issued by SkyLogic Tech™, LLC, a Woman-Owned Small Business based in Houston, Texas (“SkyLogic Tech,” “we,” “us”). It covers the divisions and services we operate: SkyLogic Institute, SkyLogic Media, the SkyLogic Foundation (being formed and currently operated by SkyLogic Tech™, LLC), and the applications we build and run, including SkyLogic Oracle.
When we build software that a client operates under its own name, that client’s privacy policy governs the data it collects. This policy covers only what SkyLogic Tech collects and controls.
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed in the United States.
Browsing our website
You can read every public page of skylogictech.ai without telling us who you are.
- No analytics or tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or similar tools, and the public pages set no cookies.
- Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to fetch them, which shares your IP address and browser details with Google under Google’s privacy policy.
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard request information (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) to operate and secure the service.
- Outbound links. Links to other sites, such as press coverage, take you to sites with their own privacy practices.
Because we do no tracking, there is nothing for a browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off on our public site.
The contact form
When you send us a message we receive:
- your name, email address, and the topic you choose (required);
- your organization, phone number, and message (if you provide them);
- the IP address your message came from, which is included in the notification email to help us spot abuse.
Your message is emailed to the team responsible for that topic (for example, GEGS™, SkyLogic Institute, SkyLogic Media, or the SkyLogic Foundation). We also keep a backup record of the time, topic, your name and email, and your message in a private file that is not reachable from the web. Your IP address is used briefly, in disguised form, to block repeated automated submissions.
We use what you send only to reply to you and to handle what you asked about. We do not add you to a mailing list.
SkyLogic Foundation portal
The scholarship portal at skylogictech.ai/foundation/recipients/ collects more information than the rest of the site, because awarding and managing scholarships requires it.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Account | Name, email, phone, city and state, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form). |
| Application | Your answers about your situation and goals, school or program, costs and amount needed, your essay, and how you heard about us. |
| Program records | Selection stage, reviewer scores and comments, award details, monthly check-ins, grant requests, and messages logged by your assigned mentor. |
| Documents | Files you or our team upload, such as enrollment confirmations, invoices or tuition statements, receipts, and award letters. |
| Payments | Amount, date, purpose, and the school or provider paid on your behalf. We do not collect your bank account, card number, Social Security number, or date of birth. |
| Sign-in security | A session cookie that keeps you signed in until you close your browser or are idle for 30 minutes, and a disguised form of your IP address, kept for 24 hours, to stop repeated failed sign-ins. |
Who can see it
Applicants and recipients see their own records and documents. Your application is read by the Foundation selection committee only, to decide awards. A mentor sees only the recipients matched to them. Foundation administrators, who must use two-step sign-in, can see all records in order to run the program and keep the financial and compliance records a scholarship program requires.
Emails
The portal sends you emails about your account: application confirmations, status changes, and password-reset links.
SkyLogic Oracle
SkyLogic Oracle is a set of tools built and operated by SkyLogic Tech: career editions for veterans and civilians, a business opportunity edition for company owners, and a home-buying edition. Each turns the experience and preferences you enter into matched career fields, opportunities, or homes. This section describes how the current versions work. Any scholarship-search edition is not covered by this policy and is not currently offered.
What stays on your device
The profile you build is saved in your browser on your device. Depending on the edition, it can include your work history, skills, and preferences; your company’s revenue range, team, and certifications; or your household income, debts, and credit range. Documents you add, such as a resume, DD-214, or capability statement, are read inside your browser to fill in that profile. Their contents are never sent to us or to anyone else.
The Reset button clears your profile and results. It does not clear the app’s settings, including any API keys or email address you typed into Settings. To remove everything, also clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
What the app sends out to find results
To find listings, the app sends search requests to outside services, which can include USAJOBS, Adzuna, JSearch, SAM.gov, Grants.gov, USAspending.gov, and real estate listing services. Searches never include your name or your documents, but they are built from your profile and can reveal some of what you entered:
- Career editions: job titles or categories, preferred locations, and federal hiring paths, which can indicate veteran status.
- Business edition: industry codes, keywords, and the contracting set-asides you select, which can indicate ownership certifications such as woman-owned, veteran-owned, or 8(a). It searches public SAM.gov contract notices; it does not sign in to SAM.gov as you and cannot submit bids, proposals, or registrations for you.
- Home edition: locations and a maximum price that the app calculates from the income and debts you enter. Listing photos load directly from the listing service.
If you enter your own USAJOBS credentials in Settings, the email address registered with them is sent to USAJOBS with each search, as USAJOBS requires. These services handle requests under their own privacy policies.
Other services your browser contacts
The apps load fonts from Google Fonts and may download document-reading tools, including the text reader used for scanned documents and photos, from public code hosts such as jsDelivr and cdnjs. These services receive your IP address and browser details when the files load, but not your documents or profile.
Activity logs
The app’s server keeps activity logs to help troubleshoot problems. They include the searches made and a short summary of the profile used for them (for example, experience level, clearance level, or price range), but not names, email addresses, or document text. When you run the app on your own computer, those logs stay on your computer. Before we host the app on our own servers, we will update this policy to explain how hosted logs are handled.
Signing in with Google (when available)
Google is the only way to create an account. When you sign in, Google shares with us your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier. We request only these basic sign-in permissions (openid, email, profile). We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, contacts, or any other Google data.
We use this information only to create and secure your account and to show you who is signed in.
Connecting LinkedIn (optional, when available)
After you sign in, you can choose to connect your LinkedIn account. If you do, LinkedIn shares your name, profile picture, and email address, and lets the app publish a post to your own LinkedIn profile only when you press a button to do so. The app never posts without your action, cannot read your messages or connections, and cannot post as a company page. You can disconnect at any time in the app or in your LinkedIn settings.
Google user data. SkyLogic Oracle’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not let people read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires.
Who we share with
We do not sell personal information, including sensitive information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers who run our infrastructure for us, such as our web hosting and email providers, and only so they can provide that service.
- Within our team, with the team members and contractors who need it to answer you or run the program you applied to, including Foundation reviewers and mentors as described above. Contractors work for us under confidentiality obligations.
- With the services you choose to connect, such as Google or LinkedIn, and with the listing and data services SkyLogic Oracle searches for you, as described in section 05.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of you, us, or others.
- In a business change, such as a merger or the transfer of the Foundation program to its own nonprofit entity, where the receiving organization agrees to honor this policy.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, then deleted in our periodic reviews.
- Foundation records: for the life of your application or award and afterward for as long as tax, financial, and nonprofit recordkeeping rules require. Payment records are kept even after other records are deleted, because the law requires them.
- SkyLogic Oracle: information saved in your browser stays on your device until you clear it. When sign-in is available, account information is kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
- Backups: deleted information can remain in our private backups for a limited time until those backups are replaced.
How we protect it
We use safeguards suited to the information involved, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), storing private records outside the public web folder, one-way password hashing, automatic sign-out after inactivity, limits on repeated sign-in attempts, and two-step sign-in for administrators. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your choices and requests
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, except what we must keep by law (such as payment records);
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Send your request to info@skylogictech.ai with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting. We aim to respond within 45 days. If we decline any part of your request, we will explain why, and you can appeal by replying to that decision; we will answer your appeal within 60 days.
You can also remove SkyLogic Oracle’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account’s security settings, and to your LinkedIn account from LinkedIn’s settings.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The SkyLogic Foundation scholarship program is designed for adults, and SkyLogic Oracle is intended for adult job seekers, business owners, and home buyers. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell affected account holders by email before it takes effect.
